I so terribly miss going to Mama’s and drinking tea with her in the sitting area next to the kitchen and it stings my heart that I will never be able to visit her in Harpenden again. Mama was the embodiment of majesty, elegance and gracefulness. A few memories I cherish about Mama: watching Strictly Come Dancing with Mama and giving the dancers our own scores; watching Dad’s Army with Mama and laughing together; reading to Mama and her always being eager to listen (even if it was from my Neuroscience textbook); Mama going into the study to slip a 10 pound note into my hand before I left (sometimes even 20!) despite my protests; Mama always having the impression that I have grown tremendously; Mama making fun of my moustache; Mama watching us brothers, sisters and cousins play board games during Easter and Christmas and laughing with us; going down to see Dadu with Mama and pat his grass patch; listening to the birds in the garden with Mama... Mama was a TRUE grandma in every sense of the word and I am happy to think of her and Dadu meeting again after such a long separation. Love you, Mama.

From Andrew: We happily remember many lovely days in Harpenden with Mama and Dadu, the school breaks, the Christmases, the Easters, the christenings, the birthdays. From the last years we can remember turning the corner into Avenue St. Nicholas, walking along the beech hedge and down the brick path to the front door, pressing number 4, knowing that upstairs we will say: Hello Mama! Everything changes, everything passes, but thanks to our faith ...
